The statement from Ubisoft about Beyond Good & Evil 2 comes after it was revealed this week that Ancel had joined game development startup Wild Sheep, where he will work on an original title alongside a team of a dozen developers. The sequel was first announced by Ancel in 2008, at which time he confirmed that the project had already been in preproduction for a year.
